SCAN OF THE PRINT. AT THIS TIME I AM UNABLE TO FIND THE NEGATIVE. HOWEVER, THE OVERLAPPING OF THE FERNS AND THE OVERLAPPING OF THE RED OBJECT SHOW THAT IT IS NOT A CHEMICAL ERROR. IT IS NOT THE SUN. I DO NOT KNOW WHY I PHOTOGRAPHED IT. I FOUND IT AMONG MY PHOTO'S WHEN LOOKING FOR SOMETHING ELSE.
HERE IS A VISUAL ANALYSIS OF THE PRINT. (THINGS TO LOOK FOR) My guess is that it was 30 to 40 feet away. This distance is based on the size of the trees and ferns as I remember them. The ability to establish depth in such an unexplained photographic phenomenon is rare.
